Front and back deburring of even and slightly uneven bores in one single pass
The demands on the deburring quality of the smallest bores are increasing all the time – such as in medical and electronic applications, the aircraft industry and the luxury watchmaking industry.
The DL2 with its operating principle offers the appropriate solution with a wide range of workpiece materials such as steel, stainless steel, titanium, aluminium or composite materials. The range includes tools for use on bore diameters from 1.0 mm to 2.1 mm. The working lengths range from 3.0 mm to 10.0 mm. The deburring size is approx. 0.15 mm radial.
Bore | Max. deburring size | Tool series |
Ø1.00 – Ø2.10 mm | 0.15 – 0.20mm | DL2 |
Should no standard tool solution be available for your application, HEULE can make a detailed application analysis. The result will be an application-specific solution.
The DL2 deburring tool has a very simple design, consisting of only four components. The spring and the ground carbide blade have been integrated into a single unit. This simple construction is extremely advantageous, especially when changing the blade. The tiny blade can easily be replaced directly in the machine without the need for tweezers or a magnifying glass.
The mini deburring tool's main construction consists of the tool body and blade housing. The coolant sleeve, which directs the coolant into the blade window, guarantees that the blade edge is flushed at all times. The smaller the tool, the greater the importance of coolant for reliable operation.
With working feed, the deburring tool DL2 moves into the bore and removes the burr from the bore’s front edge. Upon completion of deburring, the blade automatically retracts into the blade housing. The specially designed sliding surface of the blade prevents damage to the bore when passing through.
When exiting the bore, the spring-loaded blade returns to its neutral position and is ready to deburr the bore’s back edge. This is done without stopping the spindle or changing its rotational direction. The machining process creates a completely burr-free edge.
